Curley’s Cove is located in Cedar Bluff, Alabama. We’re nestled in the peaceful countryside of northeast Alabama, and centrally located in the ABC Triangle of Atlanta, Birmingham, and Chattanooga.
Around here, on any given day, you’ll see farmers working their fields, families camping, and children playing. When you head over to Lake Weiss, you’ll see people fishing from boats and backyard piers, water skiing, boating, sailing, canoeing, noodling, hiking, birdwatching, geocaching, and so much more.
Whether you like Crappie or Bass, Weiss Lake is the place to visit. "The Crappie Capital of the World", Weiss Lake is a 12 month fishery located in Northeast Alabama in Cherokee County.
Covering more than 30,200 acres, there's ample room for the fish to grow big. White and Black Crappie can be found year round. The lake record was a whopping 5lbs, and many 2-3lb fish are caught every day.
You can also find large mouth, spotted, and stripped Bass. In fact, because the lake offers plenty of room and amazing habitats, stripped bass over 25lbs are caught regularly!

OUR CAMPGROUND STORY
Curley’s Cove is located on beautiful Weiss Lake. It is just a short drive from Atlanta, Rome, Birmingham, and Chattanooga. We are a family owned, family oriented, RV park in Cedar Bluff, Alabama. Established in 1992, our park has evolved into what most locals and guests consider to be the most beautiful and well cared for park or campground on the lake.
As a result of the moderate climate found here in Alabama, many of our campers find staying here enjoyable any time of the year, so you will never find us closed for the “off season”. We stay open all year round.
Curley’s Cove RV Park began as a dream between a father and son in 1992. Carthell “Curley” Debter was an avid fisherman and Lake Weiss was his favorite place to go fishing for crappie.
Curley and David wanted to create a place where families like theirs could go to camp, cookout, boat, and fish together. They created Curley’s Cove – a beautiful, and serene park on the lake they loved so much.
Curley retired to his beloved park, and managed it with his wife, Emma, for several years. Every since Curley’s passing in 1997, his son, David and his wife Joyce, have been the park’s owner. David has been responsible for continuing the family tradition, now with his children and grandchildren of growing the park into the beautiful park that stands here today.
David is committed to continuing to improve the park. He has made many improvements in landscaping, infrastructure, and new construction projects every year.
Thanks to the gorgeous weather year-round here in Cedar Bluff, Alabama, we’re open year round. So come on out and and enjoy Lake Weiss with us at our family-friendly RV park.

At Curley’s Cove, our biggest amenity is our people. Our park is made up of people that enjoy our peaceful and serene lake-side RV park. We have families that are visiting with their kids and grandkids right here on Lake Weiss. Come for relaxing weekends, holiday weeks, vacations, or mini getaways throughout the year, our park is the perfect place to fish, boat, cook out, and spend time unwinding. Our spots are rented on a monthly or annual basis. Unfortunately, we are not able to rent daily/weekly at any time.
